Your teacher uses a gentle hands-on method with verbal instructions to help you find ease and balance within yourself in simple movements and everyday activities – such as sitting, standing, walking or bending. This will help you to increase your awareness and identify habitual patterns and allow you to undo these habits and replace them with improved body use for more natural ease of movement.
Although the Alexander Technique works on the entire musculo-skeletal system, we often work with people who have specific problems. F.M. Alexander the founder was famous for helping musicians, actors and people with various issues from stutterers to golfers! So we are happy to work with you as an individual that is why this method is best taught on a one-to-one basis. |
